Connecting.
So, one of the hopes during summer project is to connect the staff and students involved in Vida (CRU here) to the students we are meeting with while we are here (for Bible studies, discipleship, growth, etc)... the Lord worked it out this week ("random" run-ins and intentional appointments) for the Argentine students to meet! We are excited to see what the Lord is going to continue to do after we leave.

The Harvest is READY!
McKenna (a summer project student) and I were able to meet a new friend today who was ready (part of the plentiful harvest) for the Gospel - pray for Belen as she begins to grow in her relationship with God!
Weekend - O - Fun!
I had a great time this weekend hanging out with some of my Argentine friends and summer project students - checking out the Rose Garden, spending time in the park, and drinking mate. Here are some pics from Saturday:

Heat and the Gospel.
On Wednesday, we all went to the Agronomy campus to meet students and to promote 2 upcoming "events" (a social mission project and English Club); it was freezing on campus (about 35 degrees) so Melicia and I decided to take a break in the cafe and talk to some students in there - we met Maribel, a sweet girl with a tough life, and were able to share the hope of the Gospel with her. Please join us in praying for her this week and that she would come to our park event this Sunday!

Today's Going to Be a Good Day.
Walking onto campus in tiredness, Morgan (one of the students on Law) said to me: today's going to be a good day... and it was; Morgan and I met Florencia - and we saw her place her faith in Christ today! (Pray for her as she grows in her understanding of the Lord and that she would get plugged into Vida Estudiantil.)

Gouchos, Horses, and Empanadas. Oh My!
Yesterday, we trekked out of the city for fresh air to experience a "real life" estancia (Argentine ranch) - we rode horses and carriages, "kissed" gouchos (Argentine cowboys), ate empanadas along with unlimited sausage, steak, and chicken (what they call an asado), enjoyed traditional tango and folk dancing, and watched the goucho horse show (where an older Argentine man jousted in my honor)!
An abundance of Argentine culture in one day!
